This is the highest class of green tea among Japanese teas. From 20 days before picking the tea leaves, direct sunlight is blocked to raise the density of L-thiamine and amino acids while suppressing catechin. For the best tasting cup of Gyokuro tea, use water between 50-60 degrees.
The dark green leaves used in Gyokuro are grown by our experienced and skilled green tea farmers. This transparent emerald color tea has a mild thick taste and a distinctive aroma which leaves a satisfying aftertaste in the mouth. This exclusive class of Gyokuro is limited in production.
